Voter Intimidating New Black Panther: ‘Kill Some Crackers’ and their ‘Babies’

King Samir Shabazz is the the leader of the New Black Panther Party in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is also one of the two men convicted by the Justice Department of white voter intimidation for standing outside a Philadelphia polling place in 2008 brandishing a nightstick.

Eric “Nation of Cowards” Holder, President Barack Obama’s Attorney General, then took over the Department and simply withdrew the case, letting these two walk.

As this video shows, Mr. Shabazz is definitely a warm and gentle man worthy of the second chance afforded him by the Holder and Obama.

Here’s a transcription of this short video of his street theater: More…

In the Event of Cyber Attack, Let’s Rely On and Trust…the Government?

“Right now, China, the government, can disconnect parts of its internet, in the case of war, we need to have that here too.” – Senator Joe Lieberman

Editor’s Note: This piece first appeared on July 2nd, 2010 in the revered pages of the Washington Examiner.

The number of Americans still clinging to the notion that the government is competent and capable of anything – let alone everything – is thankfully dwindling at a rapid rate.

Unfortunately, it appears that nearly every elected Democrat in Washington is a member of this shrinking minority.

For instance, there’s Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman (I know, he’s technically an Independent) – and his Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act (PCNAA).  Which on June 25th passed out of the Senate Homeland Security committee.

This is legislation that would – in the event of a cyber attack – allow the President of the United States to shut down parts or all of the internet should “a cyber attack capable of causing massive damage or loss of life” occur.  Thus the nickname the internet “kill switch” bill. More…

When Good Intentioned Organizations Meet Free Press and the Left

If You Sign On with Dogs, You May End Up Fleeced

Editor’s Note: This piece first appeared on July 2nd, 2010 on the august pages of RedState.com.

The Shoes Represent the Internet

Free Press is the Media Marxist organization leading the charge to wrest control of the internet from those who have invested tens of billions of dollars to develop it into the free speech, free market Xanadu that it is today.

Free Press and their ilk would rather sole control of web infrastructure be in the hands of the government – which always and everywhere has done an excellent job of ensuring a thriving environment for free speech and free markets.

(Editor’s Note: Much sarcasm in the last paragraph.)

The weapon most needed by the Media Marxists to accomplish this government takeover is the terribly mis-named “net neutrality.”  Which is socialism for the internet – it ensures everyone has equal amounts of nothing. More…

Happy Independence Day, All

Happy Independence Day to one and All.

We are sincerely fortunate to be here. The poor circumstances and stewards of our Noble Endeavor are temporary; we will endure, and persevere.

In other words, these clowns and their plans will soon be gone. And we will overcome the damage they’re doing.

Enjoy. And keep pushing back. And then forward.

Arpaio’s Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office to Phoenix Mayor Gordon: ‘Shut Up’

Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio is a hero or a villain, depending upon your perspective.

If you wish to see laws enforced and deference given to law abiding citizens rather than to law breakers, than he is The Man.

If you are someone who so loathes some laws that you seek to sue to undermine their enforcement, and wish to coddle law breakers at the obvious and inherent expense of the law abiding, than you roundly loathe the outspoken, law-enforcing Sheriff.

You may safely place Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon in the latter camp (no Arpaio pun intended). That Phoenix is within the confines of Arpaio’s Maricopa County must add tremendously to Gordon’s consternation. More…

Lindsey Graham Thinks He’s a Waylayed Reagan?

Lindsey Graham, Attracting Democrats

Any conservative who isn’t yet exhausted of South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham should get there rather rapidly during the course of reading his new New York Times Magazine profile.

In which he offers up the following annoyances:

“Everything I’m doing now in terms of talking about climate, talking about immigration, talking about Gitmo is completely opposite of where the Tea Party movement’s at.”

Free Press and the Left Have Had At Least 30 ‘Behind Closed Door’ ‘Sellout’ Meetings with the FCC since January

While Free Press pitches a (staged?) hissy fit about one with AT&T, Verizon – and Google and Skype

It's Terrible

Chairman Julius Genachowski and his Federal Communications Commission (FCC) have been for quite some time seeking to drastically increase their regulatory control over the internet.

The Chairman and the Commission lack the legal authority to do this.  They have been told this by (at least) a Clinton-appointee led federal appeals court – in the Comcast-BitTorrent case – and a bipartisan Congressional contingent, who wrote Chairman Genachowski letters telling him to cut it out.
